The GUMOTEX PALAVA inflatable canoe is eye catching with its sporty look and excellent handling performance. Thanks to its longer hull, it offers a large space for baggage and a flexibility of seat mounting which provides a comfortable seating with its width and horizontal fastening. When riding in rapids, it is possible to kneel and use the thigh straps. The canoe is suitable for river travelling up to the WW3 difficulty class as well as for a comfortable tour on placid natural and artificial lakes.

The Palava 400 GUMOTEX canoe is delivered in a watertight bag with a volume of 100 l and including a gluing kit and a reduction to the push-push valve. In the waterproof bag, the Palava can be carried on your back and you can keep all the necessities nice and dry during your cruise.

How to choose paddle length and vest sizes in a set?

Paddle length depends on body height, boat type and paddling technique. You can determine the appropriate paddle length by placing the paddle in front of the canoeist. For an inflatable canoe, the paddle should reach between the chin and the nose, for a raft it should reach the nose. Approximate paddle lengths according to body height ( body height / paddle length): 190/165 cm, 185/160 cm, 175/155 cm, 165/150 cm, 155/140 cm.

For an inflatable kayak, the recommended lengths of the touring paddles (body height / paddle length) are: 190/230 cm, 180/220 cm, 170/210 cm, 160/205 cm. The length also depends on the width of the boat. It is recommended to use a paddle about 10-20 cm shorter for wild water.

Selection according to weight, up to 50 kg - XS, up to 60 kg - S/M, up to 90 kg - L/XL, over 80 kg - XXL.
