Offering a compact product which can be inflatable to a fast, comfortable windsurfing board. From fast windsurfing to a great family board. STX inflated windsurfing boards. Riding on air was never better.
The Windsup STX WS 280 RS is a new concept windsurf board for beginners and intermediates. Thanks to the inflatable technology, you can easily pack it into a backpack and load it into a regular car without the need to carry a garden on the roof. Another advantage is the strength. With this float you will never break off the tip as is common with conventional ws boards.
This float can ride in a CLASS!
What is the difference between a regular windSUP float and the STX 280 RS?
- it has loops - without loops you can get into the slip, but it is difficult to stay in it
- has a sharp edge at the back of the bottom. Regular inflatable paddleboards and windSUPs have a round edge on the deck and bottom. To ride in the slip, it is essential that the water breaks off at the point of the drain and creates as little backwash as possible.
- has two fins - thanks to the two short floats it is easy to board at the shore. The area of two fins replaces one long one that would belong to such a wide float.
- It has a shorter and wider shape - for an easy entry into the slip, it is necessary to have sufficient surface area, which is achieved by a larger width. The 280cm length is the ideal compromise for good performance in both displacement riding and gliding in stronger winds.
This float is especially suitable for beginners and intermediate sailors who don't enjoy displacement riding and want to experience the real beauty of windsurfing - SKLUZ. This ws board is also a very good option for teaching children. It is equipped with a center fin for teaching complete beginners. Another indisputable advantage is the soft eva pad on the deck, so it won't rub off during finds and falls.
Features of the windsup STX WS 280 RS:
- Fusion Double Layer X Light Paddleboard is made in FXL (also Machine Weave) construction, which combines two molded layers of PVC, bonded without the use of glue, and lightweight woven fibers that prevent the material from stretching. The result is a super lightweight construction that has a stiffness approaching that of a solid paddleboard.
- Double Layer Rails STX floats have doubled edges. Critically stressed areas are reinforced for extra durability.
- Kickpad A raised layer on the tail of the paddleboard that makes it more maneuverable in turns (kick turns).
- Honey Grip A moulded EVA foam grip layer located at the heel and centre of the paddleboard. This layer is easily washable and does not trap dirt.
- Core Grip Highly adhesive milled EVa foam that is placed in the standing area.
- Storage Bungee At the bow of the float there is a flexible rope that is used to attach personal belongings.
- High Pressure Valves Paddleboard is equipped with high quality high pressure valves that can withstand pressure up to 20 PSI. The manufacturer recommends inflating the floats to 15 PSI.

The felt displacement of inflatable floats does not correspond to the displacement of fixed boards. WS Freeride is equally thick throughout. Epoxy boards are thinner at the tip, stern and sides, so they have about 1/3 less displacement than an inflatable with the same width and length. The felt displacement of this float is equivalent to epoxy floats with a displacement of approximately 160-180 litres.
Big windsurf brands have been offering inflatable windsurfers since last season. The advantage of this float is unquestionably the price, which is one third and even lower than the classic fixed beginner WS floats. Another advantage is the durability of the float - with this float you will never break the tip as sometimes happens with solid windsurfing boards.
